As fate would have it he was going to let us go with written warnings... until he ran our paperwork. herm got nailed for unregistered vehicle...$100.

He didn't check me for inspection, and wasn't concerned about ML not even having a mirror.

Oh well...better than tickets for better than 20 over. That would have been expensive.

Wow!

About 10 years ago here in Melbourne, it was $440!

I didn't end up having to pay, but oh, I hate to imagine the cost of that offence now!!!
