Take a pic of the bolt ring on the other side of the housing. If there are lumps in the casting, where the cover bolts thread in, it's a 44. If there aren't any visible lumps, it's a 60.

Good idea. But the rig is still in Florida, so that'll have to wait.

How's it getting home?

I'm working on it.  A lack of seat belts and no working heating system crushed my hopes to drive it back...

So, if anyone is driving a large trailer back this way from Florida, and wants to earn some $$$, and Karma, let me know!

I've got a car trailer if you're desperate.  :P

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I can understand the heat...the seat belts not so much.

It appears to be a somewhat incomplete "rebuild"  [roll]

Which is the ONLY reason that I could afford it. But did I mention that it runs and drives?

Screw the heat.

Get yourself one of them heated motorcycle coats (pants too, maybe), wire it up and bang! Instant heat!

Windows frosting up does become a pain in the ass when driving a car/truck with no heat in the winter.

Open the window and let the condensate out.

Wear a scarf to cut down on it.

Put the top down.

What could go wrong?

Cars didn't have seat belts when I learned to drive. I understand I'm a dinosaur, and have no issue with that.

The idea that cars should be built to be absolutely safe in a crash is incomprehensible to me, as is a motorcycle that's not supposed to crash.

If you don't crash you won't die.

That's just me.

Putting a seatbelt on is as automatic to me as putting on my helmet for a ride...... And I didn't start using a seatbelt with any regularity until I was driving for several years.

Just like the helmet. It's all about what increases my comfort level. Has nothing to do with absolute safety, more about whether "I" feel safe.
