SC Project exhaust not properly fitting M 1100 S

I recently received this exhaust for my Monster 1100 S: https://www.motovationusa.com/ducati-monster-696-796-1100-gp-exhaust-sc-project.html

After install and shimming it around for an hour, this was the closest I could get it. The right pipe is still off a bit (inward towards the plate). The link pipers we identical in size and angle, the only difference was the welded mounts for the springs were a different placement. When I looked at my OEM factory exhausts side by side, the right side's piping (coming out of the can, the part that connects to the rest of the exhaust system) was longer and angled differently than the left.

I've contacted Motovation to see what they say but its the weekend and just curious if anyone else has run into this problem. I'm considering just having a local metal fabricator make a new link pipe to save time.
