Anyone wear Underarmor Heat Gear under their jackets in the summer? Especially on wet days?

basically any sort of wicking fabric/athletic style shirt or such is great under mesh or vented moto clothing.

so it doesn't have to be underarmor per se, but anythign that is made of a wicking fabric like coolmax, spandex/lyrca mix, etc.

Underarmour heatgear stealth has replaced all my white tees for summer time. If your going to be wearing it underneath stuff to go out, get the compressions in 1 size larger than you normally wear. If you are going for just a regular tee, DO NOT GET THEIR COTTON IMITATION! it itches, regular loose gear is great, i wear that everyday for my job (GC). In fact im out to modells to buy a new set since i dont have enough of them!

Cold gear is nice, but useless on a bike IMHO. But thats just how my body reacts to it. it makes me sweat (even in 20 degrees) and it breathes in all the wrong spots so you get cold. Your better of wearing cotton with a windproof jacket and goretex moto jacket on top. Im eyeing the Cold killers windproof fleece right now for $150 on speedymoto.

+1 on the heatgear.  Although I've found it tends to pick up my stink more than cotton both when riding or playing hockey.  I've also found that I have to buy a size or two smaller than I would normally wear.  Great stuff, though.  Don't cheap out -- buy the real Underarmor!

I have two UA loose tees (and a similar Adidas version) that I wear pretty often in the heat - in addition to keeping you cooler, they also dry faster when you do sweat (not to imply that females sweat). 

And I have a compression fit longsleeve UA shirt that pretty much feels cooler than having nothing on.  The only downside (to me) is that I feel like I can't take my jacket off cause I have a spandex shirt on.

I have found this is the best product to wash the stinck out.  It will even take old stink out of old performance clothes.

Pre soak in light vinegar works well if you have nothing else. dont worry it wont smell like vinegar, it easily washes out with just 1 rinse.

Oxyclean works wonders!!! Pre soak in oxyclean and the shirt gets cleaner after every wash.

And as far as girls not sweating.... there's 5 girls at the muay thai gym i go to and after 2 hour of training their hands are a bit moist, and theres maybe a drip of sweat on their forehead, where the rest of us (guys) are taking our shirts of and standing in front of the fan to dry up.  even if i was standing there doing something simple like walking circles for 2 hours, id be breaking a sweat. those girls AREN'T HUMAN!!!!!!

I generally wear UA Heat Gear when I ride in the warm months. W/ perfed leather you can really feel the breeze. The one thing I don't particularly like though is that it fits so tight. Usually hard to get on and take off. Since I broke my ribs it tends to feel more like it is squeezing me which isn't very pleasant after 4 or 5 hours of riding. Dolph

thats kind of the point of compression wear, maybe try getting either fitted, or loose fit

I wish i was exaggerating. but im not. You know how women wear gray shirts, the one that do sweat, you can see the outlining of their bra underneath? yea these girls dont have em either. not human.

Doubleagle, if you dont wear a compression, your sweat just drips down and there is no cooling effect. It is the evaporation of the fabric that cools you down. thats why i recommend wearing 1 size larger that you normally go. I fit a small, and i wear t's in medium. if you get it too big, the fabric doesnt stretch enough to expose the fibers so it wont breathe as good. if you look at loose gear vs compressions, you will notice a difference in the weave (aside from the stretchy stuff).

i can only echo above.
I have a short sleeve and a long sleeve one that I wear depending on what's happening at the end of the ride.  I also wear the long sleeve one for hockey.  I really need to buy a couple white ones so I can wear them when I go out.

There's really no substitute for them.  The difference in cooling is like night and day.  Pretty much all the guys/girls I ride with wear UA or another similar brand (especially for track days).  My only thing is that once you're not getting any air flow, they seem to get very warm.

Another substitute would be a regular cycling jersey.  I wear those once in a while too under my jacket.  Speaking of which, cycling shorts are great for under riding pants/jeans/leathers.

I don't know about other girls, but when it's really warm or I'm working out I sweat... A LOT. And I sweat everywhere. Luckily I don't really stink, even in synthetics.

I already wear my mountain biking shorts under my riding pants since anything else leads to a serious case of swamp ass, but I definitely need something for the upper half. I tried on a long sleeve HeatGear top the other day and I found the sleeves to be a bit long for me. I didn't get a chance to try on a short sleeve version, but what I would LOVE to find is a 3/4 sleeve compression shirt. Underarmour's website didn't feature any though, so I'm not sure if that's even an option. All I know is I HATE HATE HATE being sticky. I can deal with hot but when my gear doesn't move freely around my body I get ugly in a hurry.

one thing you can try is wearing another coolmax brand that isn't so tight, try something like craft its a scandinavian brand, they make looser fitting stuff that is very wicking and airy for running.

meaning its a lot lighter than underarmor stuff, its a lot looser weave but not seethrough mesh or anything like that..
