Hey gang! Been gone for a long time and just wanted to stop by and say Hi to everyone!

Some things that have happened: Got married, had kids (identical twin boys 6months old currently), bought a house and still struggling to find time to ride. Still got the old S2R1000 with 1100 EVO motor, but I stopped riding it 4 years ago. It sat outside but undercovers, weather still got the best of it and recently decided to try and bring it back to life. Its getting a full tear down, repaint and then Im going to send it to Steve at Hudson Valley out in Ossining to fix some fueling issues and get it back on the road.

Hey HeMan.  If I'm not confusing you with someone else: I think you let me ride your dirt bike during some wintry day in 2014-15(ish).  We rode around Red Hook as I was learning about dirt bikes ahead of a buying a dual sport for a (very) long ADV ride.

Like you I disappeared from the DMF some years ago but check in from time-to-time and it always feels like home.  I'm currently bikeless, but that doesn't stop me from attending DIMBYs when I can.

Anyway, welcome back!  Good luck getting the S2R on the road.

Howie, thank you!

1.21, that was absolutely me but that memory would have passed me by until you brought it up. You rode my DR650 and I recall you had a multi month ride planned.

Any of you guys still in NYC?

Haven't been in NYC since before Tommy67 passed.

I'm up north...as always.

Hi HeMan!  I believe I was one of the fortunate to also cross paths with you - for lunch in Grand Junction years ago if I remember correctly.

Duc-less here like a few others but showed LMT a bike I was drooling over this past week if that counts for anything.   ;)

Congrats on the wife and twins! How did you find time to post?!    ;D

wow, another memory that escapes me until you bring it up. I was there working for a summer!

Thank you! Twins are.....handful. I tell my wife that I identify as a single mom because we can't really help each other when we each have a baby. It makes having a single kid seem like an easy dream!

I have a married friend who has three kids each a year apart and when he had the third one I asked him what three kids was like compared to two.  His reply: "It's like you're in the sea drowning...and someone hands you a baby."

So I guess the upside of twins is that they aren't triplets.   ;D

 [laugh] thats hilariously true.

We often increase our tolerance for stress and set that as a new base line so im sure triplet parents would look at twins and think "mannn that looks easy!"
