How to remove gas tank?

Hi.  Is it simple to do?  Will I need to drain the gasoline before detaching the tank from the bike?  I don't want to start disconnecting hoses and have gasoline spilling all over my garage.  Thanks in advance.

Im not pointing fingers at you, since its becoming very common here, but its really annoying to come into a How to thread, and have people asking "how do i.."

hell, i have a video and a scar on my right bicep. no lie.
my friend had a camera on record during a thunderstorm.
Yes we were BBQ and finnally got the coal to stay lit after constantly restarting it with bbq fluid (my frined left them outside and it caught moisture from the previous weeks rain storms).
So while im spraying lighter fluid on the coal (there was NO FLAME OR GLOWING EMBER) the shit spontaneously combusts. ill admit, i did put a shit load on there, but i planned on throwing a match on it with the sheidl on my side.

Instead the the thing  caught fire, the tip of every piec eof hair on my face got burnt, the camera continued to record and when we shut it of, the lens wouldnt go back in. and theres like a whitish blur on  the lens now.

Funny thing is, i was wearing a cotton t at the time, and the cauterizing of my skin ended where my sleeve began, hence the mark on my inner bicep.

So yea, wanna buy me a camera? canon G9 please.
