Bar Size please

Would anyone be able to help me please with the size of the 696 bars from tip to tip. as i dont have my bike yet and was going to try the m3 bars from suburban machinery. They arrived today and measured about 29'' across and look a little short,and dont really have much of a angled down appearance ,undecided now on putting them on. i am only going on a rough estimate of seeing the 696 at dealers. thanks in advance.................

i just measured 30" even, tip to tip, rider side of the bar....
straight across not accounting for bend.
thats bar only, not bar-end weights as well....

Thankyou for that, thats what i needed. just got the bars powdercoated satin black, but still no bike.
