another bed. im up but excited to sleep. i bough a new contour memory foam pillow today. On sale pre thanksgiving.
Its about 1:50am and im thinking about moving the laptop from my desk to my bed so i can continue my aimless wanderings.

I will not go on sleeping pills. I dont think I have insomnia. I just think my brain is over active and i think too much.

Maybe my exhaustion will keep me from waking up tonight.....

I am exactly the same way. An MD recommended I take a pill called Calms Forte. It really helps. It is not a sleeping pill. It is non-narcotic. It will not make you sleepy. It won't give you a drugged feeling.

Why it does do, is make my brain shut the hell up so I can get some sleep.

My stance on sleeping pills is "no drugs". My usual stance on a supplement from a natural food store is "hippy, new-age, bullshit". The SO bought this stuff after hearing the doctor recommend it. Then brow beat me into taking it.

havent been able to sleep for the past 3 weeks again.

however ive been able to come home, say make the beast with two backs. nap from 4pm-8pm and just stay up all night. so i get some sleep. life is good...not really

I've been in a similar boat the last few weeks.  Can't get shit for sleep at all during the night unless I self medicate by taking a couple of muscle relaxers and washing them down with a beer (or stronger).  Last night was really bad, I laid down at around nine thirty and dozed off only to wake up around eleven and not be able to get back to sleep to save my life.  Surprised I am still awake and writing this now...
