Not for too much longer. When I had my shoulder injury the vicadin would make me dizzy so I just took extra strength Tylenol. I remember it was difficult to sleep cause I normally had that arm above my head. What meds did they give you?

i'm on percoset 5. or ratrher the generic version of it

i think i need to ask for something stronger. i can only get an hr of sleep at a time before the pain returns. then i'm up for another 2 hrs wqaiting for the pain to subside

They stayed in my body and seriously messed me up after my surgery a few weeks ago.

I'm sort of an anti-pill person myself, not that I won't take them if necessary, I just prefer to take as little as possible.

Once you're over that initial hump when things are still really sensitive it'll be easier to sleep.

Maybe you can use this opportunity to conduct a sleep study: does bacon help you sleep.

Same here.  Don't do meds other than seasonal allergy.  I needed the pain pills though. 

Will have to investigate the bacon-related-to-sleep hypothesis

ohh i know. i am all stopped up. i went from pooping 4-6 times a day to once every 2 days. i'm taking a stool softener too.

i feel the same way about pills. and i am esp not a fan of pain killers. i have been shaking and feeling like i was going to puke a quite a few few times.

It's tough to get the Docs to give stronger than Percocets. 5/325.

After my bad accident this past Fall w, 7 broken Ribs, , crushed Elbow, Knee , Ankle , messed up Shoulder, really bad Whiplash, 2 snapped tendons in 2 Fingers, I was on Oxycontin for 2 weeks , plus Percocets . Then Percocets for 4 months until my right Calf got a Staff Infection and swelled up like a Zucchini and had to have Surgery.

I complained that the Percocets ( 2 -5/325 at a time ) every 4-6 hours weren't doing much to alleviate my pain.

So I was put on a new drug I had never heard of, Nucynta. I was supposed to take 1 every 4-6 hours but if I took 2 it would really kick my ass

Obviously I couldn't keep that up since the Doc would only write the Script for so many for a certain time frame.

If you don't want your Bowels to quit working eat about 8 prunes a day plus take a Stool softener pill each day.

Eat plenty of Fiber and drink plenty of water.

Pain meds. Ive never had to have them. not sure how much pain is so much pain where you need meds 24/7. I feel sorry for you guys. Hope i never have to be there.

Supposely you can get as much oxycotin percocete and all that stuff, as you want down in florida. might want to make a few trips if you need it that badly.
