10 weeks today.

The lack of nicotine seems to be screwing with me physically.

I did smoke for a long time...probably why.

Increase your vodka intake [evil]  Seriously, don't give in now.  I haven't smoked in about 5 years now and don't miss it.

In what ways?

I don't feel 100% 'right', but then again, maybe this *is* how 'right' feels.

7 weeks for me.
Congrats on staying 3 weeks ahead of me.  [beer]

Quit on Jan 1. I find the physical addiction is the easiest thing to deal with; the psychological addiction (reaching for a cigarette when my mind is racing as I'm dealing with some work problem) is more problematic.

I've quit before, for long stretches- 10 years, 5 years, 4 years. I really don't want to relapse this time.
Nobody said that I did. Everyone says that I would.

IIRC, nicotine is a blood thinner, so it makes sense that a change in BP meds might be in order.
Best of luck with the fine-tuning.

I haven't noticed any change in blood pressure myself, but I've not been monitoring it.  :P

Yet they also claim that smoking increases bp.

I'm thinking that the initial body reaction was an increase and the long term will be a decrease.

It will work out.

Smoking Kills

How's everyone holding up?
[laugh] [laugh]

I'm good.

I gave the lack of nicotine a bad rap.

It was a medication fiasco.

Stinky Wizzleteats

I gave up 18 months ago. And I don't miss it. Waking up in the middle of the night coughing my burning lungs up and then sneezing/coughing up a huge gob of phlegm in the morning made the decision easy for me.  [puke]

Now I'm trying to give up drinking during the week. Was drinking every night and waking up feeling like sh*t. Only going to drink on weekends.

Haven't had a drink for 2 nights.  :(
I like a drink. You know when people say 'I like a drink as much as the next man'? Not if I'm the next man, you don't.

HEAR-YEA, HEAR-YEA...
As of last night, I've drank my last beer.  I will not be buying it anymore for home consumption.  I have run out of gin too and will not be buying spirits for the house to just sit there.  I drink them if they're around....

I may still enjoy a drink while out for dinner or a social event, but at home....I'm done.

Quit smokin' back in 1993-ish...  Cigarettes that is.  I still *yearn* for the occasional cigar.

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it
