I was off the wagon for a little over a year and now I'm 10 days into my new smobriety (sobriety from smoking, haven't drank for years).  I think the lesson here is to stay quit cause it's harder and harder to quit every time I do it. Also, I just realized that by not smoking, I've basically gotten a 5k/yr raise - that part is nice!

I also did not stay a non-smoker...made it till Labor day weekend.

Most people quit more than once.  Do try again.  Moving to NYC may help, around $11 a pack is an incentive :P

20 days after that ^^^ post, I went on a business trip to Japan and started smoking again.  Took about a month or so to get control over it again.

Now, on special occasions, I'll have a social cigaret with a smoking friend, but that's maybe 1 cigaret in 2 weeks...

Well, today is 6 months smoke free. Feels like its been longer. I did it with Chantix (the wonder drug).

As for the drinking....not a chance, that will send me over the edge. Need at least one vice. ;)
