Well, given its narrow cross section and the sleek shaping, unless the blast is directly centered under the vehicle, it should be fairly survivable. Reinforce the lower "skin" of the fuselage with kevlar sheeting and some "light" armor plating, and you will be able to use the existing shape to direct the blast upwards and away from the vehicle.

Humvees don't do so well. They're really not much more than "mechanical catcher's mitts" when viewed from below. Big, flat, non-energy dispersing death traps. That's the joy of being attached to the S.F. teams, we'd run missions in Toyota Hi-Luxes...which oddly enough is identical to the 4Runner I drive now. It does, however, make for some trippy moments while running errands these days.

Bottom line: I'll take my chances in the Ecomobile. I'm not getting in another Humvee ever!!!
