Anyone own a Dainese Zen leather jacket?  How does the jacket function in the hot and cool weather?
My rides:  2009 M696, couple of cages, a few grass eating get-alongs, and some asics.

I've had my Zen perf'd leather jacket for going on 3 years now.  It's my daily wear jacket.

I have no complaints with it at all, although I have broken a zipper pull on the sleeve.  I have had the pleasure of sliding on the concrete in it, but true to form, the leather/stitches held up great!  [thumbsup]

I've worn it during the Texas summers and I don't mind it much at all.  The perfs do a good job of flowing air through the chest and arms.

Winter's here in Dallas, Texas are pretty laughable, but it does get chilly here.  The past New Year's Eve, I was riding out for coffee with some friends before amatuer night got crazy.  My air temp readings were 38*F  and with the winter liner in it did a good job of keeping my core warm.  Not nearly as good as my non-perf'd leather jacket though.

Overall I think the Zen is a great jacket.

Oh yeah, I've done a trackday in it and with the 360* zipper attachment it made a great top to a 2piece suit.  You can see in my avatar, it looks good too :D

Thanks  [thumbsup]  Nice review.  I am looking for a jacket to use three seasons in Oregon (except for a couple of hot summer weeks).  Good to know it holds up when down.  Sweet new ride btw.

I also live in Oregon and own the Zen.  I have used it for around 5 months now and have been very happy with it.  I pretty much used it exclusively up until the "heat wave" started and it has served me well even on the warmer days.  On 95+ or 100+ degree days like today I throw on my Zentex Textile for some extra venting.  The Zen leather is a bit too warm for my liking on those hot days unless it is a highway or freeway trip.  It does breath very well when you are cruising.  On colder days in the spring I would zip the liner back in and the jacket would keep me plenty warm while riding.  Haven't had a chance to try it in the winter but I think it would do pretty good.

Seems to be a very well made jacket, I would recommend it.  If you can afford it the Zentex is a nice addition as well.  Plus that is on sale right now for under 200 bones:
