Ducati is the pretty girl that can't walk in heels without stumbling. I still love her.

Congrats!...GS, ES or otherwise?

Well, they've transitioned to the NSPS/DCIPS band system, but I'm basically coming in as the equivalent of a senior GS-13.

And thanks!! Now it's time to play the paperwork game.
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

That sounds pretty healthy...what's your current rank, if you don't mind me asking?

Still an E6. Turned down 7 the last three years.

I've said no to an E7, but you are only the second person I've ever known to say no to E7.  It seems so much dirtier.

Thanks.  I'll be working for NGA, at their support team to ONI.

Great, congrats.  Going from E-6 pay to payband-4/ GG13 is a nice jump.  NGA is a good organization to work for...and I've always had great support from their guys that deploy w/ us.  ONI on the other hand, I've developed a love/hate relationship for them!

i'd have to agree to that. brian gets in before 6, but he's been leaving work late. sometimes after 730pm. it's got to suck ass.

but he said to say congrats too.  [thumbsup]

Yeah... I've always gotten grief for walking away from promoting, but it just wasn't what I wanted. I enjoy the technical side of my job (surprise surprise, that's why I do it) and putting on 7 would have been the end of that.

It's the leaner Navy with still as much, or more, to do than the old Navy. Brian sounds like me. 13 hrs at work yesterday.

AND....... Nice to see that you still check in  [thumbsup]  :)

So, when do you start?
