GPS track said 126, but I know there was probably another 40 or so that we did in the area where the battery tanked.  Plus, the 20 or so miles to get back home...

Went on a much longer ride on Friday though.  Took the SD out into West Virginia and wandered around over there with some riders from work.  All in all, probably did close to 350 that day.

that makes me almost want to move off this island

Let's see.

Some guy in a SUV backed (rammed) in the front of my car yesterday while it was parked & I was having breakfast. Pretty good damage to the grill, headlights, aux fan & a/c evaporator. He left without even getting out of his car, which turned out not to be his car. Witnesses provided police with lic# -- they know who he is -- long juvenile sheet and continuing on building an adult sheet.

Did some cleaning and repairs to the cottage.

Saw the JJ group go by and Ann stopped to give me the newly redone end caps for the 848 exhaust. Thanks Ann!! Good job Brian!! Thanks again you guys and I won't forget you.

Emile was riding a Kawi ZX-10 I believe. Swapped rides it looked like.

Didn't make it out on the bicycle.  :(

Got started cutting out the vent screens for the new seat cowl.

Sucks about the Merc.  How much ($) damage did it do?

Bummer about your car, hope somebody's insurance is going to take care of it...

That may have been my friend's buddy's ZX10, as he has one plus a salvaged 996...I told them about the JJ ride a couple of month's ago...my friend has a well sorted 1125R ...

I meant to say a/c condenser and not a/c evaporator. There's a big difference there but without having seen the formal estimate yet I'd venture to guess around $2,000.00 It'll be interesting as we have a civil case and a criminal case.

does that mean he didn't have insurance? damn. at least there were witnesses.

btw it was a 636 that emile was riding. it belonged to pat, w/ the 1198s. that is his race bike, w/ suspension and everything on it.

And Emile was giving me shit for thinking about an F4, because it's an inline-4.   [roll]

The driver didn't have insurance and was driving with a suspended license. No surprise there but the SUV he was driving wasn't his and according to the police the vehicle had current registration and insurance. I won't get the police report for another few days but then, according to my insurance company, I will have to do the legwork of getting in touch with the actual owner and insurance co. I'm not holding my breath on that one.

If you're going inline that'd be the one to get. I'd give you shit because of spotty support for it but being on the east coast you're also in the best place in the whole country for service.

As beautiful as that MV is I'd look real hard at the Aprilia Factory. Real hard.

I think it'd be easier to live with.

Yep.  Ducpond is a servicing and stocking dealer.  ;)

I know that wink and I can hear the gears turning from here but listen to your Uncle Mac.  As beautiful and seductive as that F4 pregnant dog is, you should go for the 1198S Corse or the RSV4 Factory. Just sayin'.
