Depending on how tomorrow goes I might not make the usual Sunday ride. Boss-ski wants to do maintenance work on his BCR and my R12.  If all goes well and the weather holds he wants to go out Sunday afternoon so I can't miss that.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Forecast is pretty grim with the trough aloft and all of the tropical moisture in the area, but it's nice on this side so I'll be heading out at the regular time...unless the forecasted nastiness manifests itself early...

Got wet third ride in a row...don't mind that so much, but the bike needs cleaning again... [bang]

I was going to ask if you guys got hit.  We saw it. It chased us. We ran from it. It didn't get us.  [cheeky]  When we left the shop I could tell that the windward side was under water.  That towering cumi came from outside of Diamond Head when I saw you guys at the gas station and made it's way over the mountains by the time we left the shop. So we headed out towards Ewa and there was a couple patches of rain up in the valley. We went down Ft. Weaver road and thought about going out to Ihiloa / Ko Olina but buy the time we got back up to H1 the valley started closing out and looked like it was heading our way so we shot back to town.  That sucker was building up over the mountains and it got pretty dark. We took the airport viaduct and the top of the cumi was stretching out to sea.  The air temp on the freeway actually turned really noticeably cool out by South Seas  [roll]  & I thought right there and then that it was going to dump on us. We did get some intermittent big drops but managed to make it back to the shop. I saw the Pali had cleared so I shot off home. Norfolk was all shiny wet and I know it rained hard at one point because the garage floor was flooded in two spots.  ( Roof leaks if it rains long enough or hard enough )

Tantalus and the Pali were dry for us.  We picked up our first showers on H3 headed towards the Marine base, then it pretty much dried up on the way back as we approached the Kam Hwy off ramp and was dry through 13 turns...getting back onto the Pali from 13 turns is when we got wet, so we skipped Norfolk and u-turned back to Kailua for eats.  It was pretty dry after lunch but I got rained on again approaching the H3 tunnel on the way home.  It was dry on this side of the tunnel, but thundering and showering now.

The Monday Rule is once again validated.  If there's lousy weather on Sunday then Monday will be nice. The proof is right outside.  [roll]

The question is...how do we break the cycle?...

Gonna play it by ear in the morning...don't mind dodging a few light showers, but don't want to get wet like the last three times out...
