Went to South Seas for 2 year service and cam belts.  You'd be one of the first to know if it was sold.

are you sure you really want to sell it? i mean its such a beautiful machine, id be sick to find out some one was thrashing it around or neglecting it... or worse yet, crashed it. just park it in the living room with a bunch of track lighting shining on it and wait for a real track to open up.
it is so much easier to get forgiveness then it will ever be to get permission.

That's not going to happen down there.  And that not the reason he's looking at selling it either.  Like me and my SC, the 848 is a quite committed bike.  Some times you find yourself wishing (for whatever reason) that the ergos weren't quite that dedicated, and that you were on a bike that was more practical for everyday riding.  That's where the streetfighter comes into play.  It's quite a practical, and comfy bike, but also have the capability to get just as stupid when that time comes.

Let's hear it for getting stupid at times.   [thumbsup]  Yep.  I could get quite dumb on a Streetfighter and there are those who would argue that I'm dumb enough already.  Guilty as charged.  But it looks like I'll just have to try to get dumber on an 848. And, again, there are those who will argue that I won't have to try too hard either.  ;D
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

i completely understand. its just that in a perfect world we could all keep all of our toys and never have to sell any of them. and  when we wanted something new we just add another one to the stable. ive seen it way too many times where a guy puts alot of time and money into a beautiful machine, then has to sell it, and the new buyer totals it with in a week.

I know exactly what you mean. Slight case in point is my old Monster which is still going but doesn't get the love it once had but still looks good. A major case in point is my old 999, which a few people wanted me to just put display, but was sold and then smashed. Rumor has it that it is on the road again but I haven't seen it. At this point there is a 95% chance that I will keep the 848.

Just a bit, but we had an incident early in the ride so we had a lot of down time...
