Speed 3 Pilot

Good fun again today, despite the sloppy road up/down Tantalus, with the Pali and the various on/off ramps being near perfect...[evil]...glad you could come out Sta, even if it was for only half the ride... [thumbsup]

No one is rushing out to buy an aluminum tank for their bike?     [bang]

or go crazy nuts and make a custom tank :D

CA Cycleworks may already have one for you.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Thanks FP.  I was happy to get some  [Dolph] in today, finally after two straight Sundays raining weather.  Good pace set by our leader too!

well, I know that I'm sorted... I meant for the others

:edit: but then, I plan on commuting, and I may tire of the constant fills, so who knows

That might not be a bad thing minus the whole expanding tank deal.  I looked up one for the 848 and it was >$2,000 then I would have to have it shipped.        It reminded me of calling South Seas asking about a full Termi system for the bike and the parts guy on the phone goes, "Whoa!"  I just start laughing and asked how bad it was, >$3500.   [bang]

You didn't know these things before you jumped into the pool? ?   ;D

$2K for an aluminum tank is good.

An aftermarket oversized aluminum racing radiator for the 848/1098/1198 is over $3K an that doesn't include the price of the racing oil cooler. Mind you that is an aftermarket vendor price and not DP Racing. Next to MV's these bikes are the Ferrari's of the Motorbike world and are priced as such.   ;D  Oh well....  [roll]

They are the Ferrari. MV just turns it up to Bugatti.

:D
And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Or maybe Lambo.

Bimota though...  They take things straight to Pagani.
