Yeah I like the seat... The Alcantara is not as slippery as vinyl, so on hard breaking it's easier to stay off the tank.  But I really just like the look!

David at Golden Uphostery did the cover for me.
Golden is located across Cooke St from Rick's shop.

Did David do it from scratch?  I've actually been looking at this cover, but I'm not sure about the alcantara as I like to move about the seat during spirited riding...the alcantara sure looks pregnant dogin' though...

It's OK. No worries. 

Rode FP's SF on the snake road on the way back, it's totally different feel from my Monster.  The SF is much refined, smooth, and powerful.  But I like my monster's rawness, the extra vibrations, the loudness.

Yeah, it was from scratch.
I shaved the seat down....showed him where I wanted the suede & where I wanted the carbon fiber vynal, even the red stiching!!
You might want to look at the HTMOTO seat covers...if you are not going to a custom shape

David did a great job, it looks really good...

Weather permitting, and who knows what the weather will be tomorrow, let's go riding.  I have to end up at the shop at one point or another to finish and/or put away some work.  I'm almost ready to do do the 15,000 mile on the 848. Just have to get an air filter. Bought extra parts today to replace parts that I've already bought but seem to have misplaced some place or another.    I'll be on the BMW -- again if the weather co-operates.  Will check in again sometime in the AM tomorrow.

Riding tomorrow is looking slim for me at the moment...will more than likely be entertaining the previously mentioned in-laws...which is okay because I like them and they like me...

I'm out...we're staying at Turtle Bay until Monday afternoon.  I'm hoping the weather will be clear next wkend so I can sneak a JJ ride before flying to the Philippines for the month of April!
