Oh, ok . . .

Well, I pay 20% of anything I make above $846.00 . .up to $2500.00 from $2501.00 to $5000.00 I would pay 10% . . . and from $5001.00 >> only 5% . . .

So I am screwed . . . cause I'm on the first bracket and don't forget to add, since I'm self employed another 10% for SS . . .;D

i was bored and decided to see what kind of prices the ebays and craigslist had for cars i wish i could afford (wrx and mitsubishi evo)

one of the listings said "highly desireable auto trans!"

WTF! why would you buy something that sporty as an automatic. amuptees and injuries geta pass, but if you know what you are buying and are normally able bodied, why would you do that?!  [bang]

Drive a paddle shifted sporty car...you will understand.

Even the seriously underpowered TSX I got as a loaner for my recent recall work was fun to flog about with the paddle shifters... I can't imagine how much of a blast a car with decent pwoer/weight ratio would be.

i have. it's still not the same. even lethe's gti, which was a blast and a half, wasn't quite right without the clutch and maual gearbox (though that is the best flappy paddle gearbox/auto-stick i have ever driven)

btw, 1099?

1099 is a tax form, it's used by employers to report income of contractors. basically it means you are self employed & as z said, the person paying you does not take out taxes, you pay your taxes due directly to the taxing agencies.

z will be responsible for filing a qtrly 1040ES form for his estimated taxes, as well as he will be responsible for both the employee & employer portions of fica (federal insurance contributions act) .. fica is the combined social security & medicare tax...

says the payroll professional  ;D

(maybe i should have wrote this in nogas... )  [laugh]
