My fellow DMFers.

Literally just received an offer for a promotion in Wichita, KS. I know nothing of the area and have no family within 1000 miles of the place. The job is not the issue other than I dont trust my boss, but who does these days and thats a subject for a different thread, I just dont know anything about the area and what I would be in store for.

Any info would be helpful.

The people are nice, cheap cost of living and you aren't far from great mountain roads near Joplin, MO, Eureka springs, AR and many others.

Not a fan of Wichita. Ozark Mtn roads are awesome, but a LONG way from Witchita. My advise if you choose to go: buy a .22-250 and get into long range shooting. Get a four wheeler, dirtbike, and/or jeep. Plan your trips to Colorado.

kansas seems to be very brown...take some paint to spruce it up
