I think it was explained that it was a cap on the number of units being rented out at one time, not the rent itself.

A problem with the HOA here was members that never came to meetings.  EVERY time we sent a letter to a certain member about past due HOA dues we got a letter back about what we 'needed' to do and he wouldn't pay until these things were addressed.  My wife was secretary at the time.  I wrote the response.  It was hilarious.  He paid his dues, but STILL won't come to meetings.  He doesn't send suggestions anymore though.

I'm all for rules to keep my property value from plummeting, but most of the times they go over board, like the rule that you can only have 1 tenant a year.

I do not agree with all the rules in my building, but as President I was charged with up keeping and to some level enforcing them.

Everyone who buys into a condo here gets the documents that spell out what is allowed and not allowed. When they come pregnant doging later I have little sympathy.

I did not take it as blame! Just making a statement. People, at least in my building, get all upset about what they are not allowed to do when they knew all along it was not allowed.

We have the opposite problem.  Someone was pregnant doging about my 280Z (doesn't look perfect, but not like a heap either) in the driveway.  At first, it was because I had no tags on it and someone assumed it a junk/not running car.  The next time, it had expired plates on, and parked beside the house (my truck often parks here too with no complaint) instead of the driveway again, assumed junk/not running.  Our HOA (really just a road maintenance agreement) doesn't cover ANY of the sort, just simply refers to the county rules.   County allows up to three junk cars visible and no restrictions on parking.  I just told them I was with the county rules and closed the door.
