Spanglish is one of the things wrong with South Florida? WTF?!?  Learn to embrace the multiple cultures that make up this country. I'm surprised to see a racist comment like that on this forum. Spanish has the same roots in Latin as Italian. If you had any familiarity with the etymology of the US version of the English language you'd know that many common words are derived from Spanish & many other languages.  Plus Florida was acquired from Spain. Este Cabron es muy bruto. Poor form.

There are a lot of negatives about South Florida - high cost of living, hurricanes, snowbirds in the winter, Spanglish...but if there is one redeeming quality is riding weather almost year round.

im confused.

Made a quick stop by one of the local motorcycle shops and pulled up to park.  2nd guy came up and parked kinda next to me on this beauty.

Kids never know much REAL history. The place was a sand spit and what few Spain-iards there were lived in St. Augustine. The British never bothered with it because not much useful could be grown there.

BTW, most of the Cubans I know who piled into Florida to escape Castro speak far better English than average "Americans" these days and are running Coca-Cola, et al. currently...  8)

The acquisition of Florida was part of the Adams-Onis treaty where Spain ceded Florida and the US recognized Spanish sovereignty over Texas. As we all know Texas also changed hands later the worst part of that story was the acquisition of Tony Romo.

A quick pic of the beast with the SW Motech "Daypack" fully extended.  Nice bag!  It held my electric jacket, a freeze out wind layer, heavy gloves, sunglasses case, wallet, phone, keys and a small bottle of visor cleaner.  Not bad at all!

That's where it happened. I took the photo while waiting for the van coming to pick up the Boss' bike while she was on her way to the Ospedale.
