Who is buying the new Camaro Z28?

My local dealer got one in and curiosity got the better of me and I stopped in to have a look It starts at 72K and the few options that were added quickly took it over 75K. You can get into a new Stingray for 7000 less and look less boy racer.

Carbon brakes and 500+ HP are a big deal on a chevy but seriously?
'00 M900Sie, '66 Benelli Fireball, '70 Honda Z50
Valve Springs are EVIL

at least not in this life . . . 75K for a Camaro? . . .

Given the prices of a new diesel pickup it's not that far off the mark.

An F-150 can be 60K. [roll]

The top of the line Tundra is more than that. It's bad to the bone.

I'm sure I could get an F-150 past 60K.

Too much money.

I know-it's absurd. I'm happy enough with my old trucks.

That's nuts on both.
I was curious, so I just went to their website's and did the build your own. With every expensive option I could fine, the Tundra came in around $60,200 and the F-150 $63,700. I'm sure there's some play there, still a lot of money for a truck.

I will also say, it flabbergasts me on how many new Stingray's I see around. I at least see 3-4 every time I go for a ride.

Bottom line is new (nice) vehicles are expensive.

It's really relative.

A 1971 Pinto would be close to 12K today based on inflation.

What's really scary is it was a better car than some of the 'technology' they offer today. :-*
