That's a mighty clean Fiero there, and it's the late model with the much more handsome C-pillars.
I had forgotten about them, hardly ever see them.

Plastic panels are cool.
I've got a Saturn, and it's saved me some dings.
Very reliable car for me, and it fulfills the function of transporting me warm/cool and dry, and carrying groceries and whatnot at 30mpg.
But automatic FWD and tiny motor do not boost my pulse rate at all.

Stu's suggestion of a Miata... I'm sure they're a hoot, but same lack of effect on my pulse rate.

And I'm totally down with that no payment smell.

An RX7 would be interesting, I've never even been in one.

The Camaro is an interesting option, a former workmate had one of that vintage, and he said it was stone reliable, and the little that did go wrong could be fixed with a visit to any chain car parts store.

I've always liked the last generation MR2, and am partial to the longevity of Toyotas.

Ducati is the pretty girl that can't walk in heels without stumbling. I still love her.

IIRC the '88 or so Fiero could very easily hold the '89 Caddy V8.
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Of course you can't beat the reliability of this. Probably cheap too.

Tis true my matey but it tis not From wheel drive either is it. Nor is it horse drawn, or powered by the main sails as she could, nay should be. And she get's better milage than most anything, especially when pointed toward the dock from land ye see. All she needs from the engine-man is a bit of hard tack for energy, and the promise of a mermaid at the end of it's voyage to put the fire and motivation in those stumps.

This is cheap, RWD, no rag top, good gas mileage, seats 2, exhilarating, what's not to like?

I've only ridden passenger in a 1st gen MR2, and it was long ago.

I recall it was very snug.
Later ones a bit more roomy?

All that later model stuff is going to be over budget I fear.

If I were going Italian, I'd dearly love one of these:

But that's over budget even for an extremely tattered example.

What happened to the minimal maintenance requirement? [evil]
