Ambition is a poor excuse for not having sense enough to be lazy.

I don't mind putting the time in to get this rolling if people are interested in making our club official.  So I'll take that factory tour [thumbsup] [laugh]

The only people that seem willing to chime in are myself, DLS, Cher, and BP.

I'll be the gap filler.  [thumbsup] I'm willing to help out, just not sure what's needed at this point. Might as well put me on a committee.  ;D

It's all good input.  This started today at around 9am and had four pages of input by 4:30 in the afternoon so there's at least some  interest  [laugh]  And just by judging from the considered responses, there's enthusiasm for the idea as well.

Bryant, I think if you want to be Prez, then you should be!  If anyone would like it to be someone else, speak now or... shit, I don't know, pipe up?  Any volunteers for Veep or Secretary?  Jim?  Buehler?  Anyone? ;D

I've got some free time I could contribute to LSD (?!) and will volunteer as needed.

[edit]:  Next step I would think is to get things lined up with Toni.

So when's your first cabinet meeting Bryant?   [evil]

Whoa, whoa, whoa... is this country is ready for a minority prez...I think so... wait wrong election.

I'm not too keen on being Prez, I'd rather just make suggestions and help out wherever.

Call me the puppetmaster [thumbsup]

I don't mind being it, but we'll need a brain trust... somebody in the group has to have a brain [laugh]

Im all in and will help out anyway I can. I can do the website and can offer the following in that regard.

A web server
A mail server
A domain name... I have already registered dfwdmf.com and it points directly to this board.
AMS has texasducati.com, if we take over their DOC maybe they would let us use the domain name as well.

Also Moto Libety is a big supporter of the local clubs and groups so there are tons of possibilities there... events, swag, group buys, discounts etc... and I know a few people over there so maybe I can pull some strings  ;D

Kevin848

Update.... I just registered ...

lonestarducati.com and lonestarducatisti.com

if there are anymore suggestions, let me know... I am a bulk registrar.  [thumbsup]

Hey Kevin, good stuff!

I'll drop Toni an email and see what she says about the texasducati.com site and if we can use it or mirror it to the "official" page.

After that I'll get the info on the DOC reqs and see what we need to make this happen.

Once we get the paperwork rolling, we'll see what kind of agenda we can get going

That's awesome, Kevin.  Not sure how a Lone Star Ducati website should look but if we could somehow integrate Gianni's red, white and blue "middle" design that would be cool.

"AMS has texasducati.com, if we take over their DOC maybe they would let us use the domain name as well."   This part of it is not clear to me at all because I don't know if Toni has to remove/disolve the old club and then we come in with LSD or what.  If we want to have "Lone Star Ducati" as our club name, we may not want the "texasducati.com" domain?

At any rate, I'll volunteer my time to keep the web page up to date if you can design it and get it running on the web  [thumbsup]

Talk it out with Toni and let me know. She doesnt even have to relinquish registration of the domain name just point it to our site.
