It took one day of clinicals making house calls as a respiratory therapy student to decide I didn't want to do home health.  We got a call about an oxygen condensor that was broken - it had a half-rotted stinky rat stuck in the inspiratory side.  Our call about a kid with trach problems?  He had roaches crawling in and out of there and stopping up his airway.  People are nasty.

omg...i almost hurled at the roaches thing...i have to go get some air and a drink now.
