I'm thinking of cutting, selling or simply replacing my exhaust and here is what I have in mind http://www.motowheels.com/italian/myproducts.cfm?parentcategoryid=660|Ducati%20Exhaust&productID=4688&showDetail=1&categoryID=671|Monster%20Exhaust&vendoridtodisplay=0&filterFor=&collection=168|European%20Motorcycle%20Parts
Can anyone vouch for the power, scavanging or anything other than sound?  Offer up any suggestions you may have to alternatives to please.  I love the open look on the single-sided arm.  And yes I do have the Power Commander III and it's tuned for the Termis that are on it right now.
Thanks.

i've only heard good things about the ex-box, but have yet to even see it in person.  everyone seems to be happy with it though...and it sounds killer from the clips i've heard.

heard the same and have been all over youtube.  They do sound great but I would love to have it in my face before making the final decision.

Aren't the 2006 models closed loop systems with an O2 sensor?

If I recall, the ECU will undo the PCIII map

that's a language I don't understand.  I bought the bike with Termi's and PC III already installed and had it dyno tuned.  Are you saying the stock ECU disallows this setup?

I think what he is saying is that your Ex-Box muffler bearings are not compatible with the PCIII's framastat and H2O sensor therefore you're screwed. [bang] [laugh]

so sell the PCIII and lose the performance kick for the cool exhaust?  Gotta be something else right?

What you need to do is to create a tachyon pulse with the main deflector array.

I can't remember if there was actually a "Full Termi" kit for the S2R.

If I recall correctly, the closed loop system means that the bike has an O2 sensor that "sniffs" the exhaust from the header pipe and adjusts the A/F ratio.  If you don't have the DP ECU (which eliminates the sensor) or a measure to fool the sensor (unplug/FatDuc plug/etc) , the ECU will adjust the trim on the A/F to null the effect of a piggyback map such as a PC3.

On my 848 for example, the Full Termignoni kit included the cans, collector midpipes, headers, airfilter, DP ECU, and a null O2 sensor harness.  The O2 sensor is removed from the equation and the map on the ECU was tuned for my bike at AMS.

I could be completely wrong but this is what I remember from hours of reading on TOB and here.  My 2005 M620 was an open loops system and it didn't have an O2 sensor, a PC3 would plug up no problem had I bought one.

Don't just take my word on this subject.  Do a good amount of research and you'll find a solution to your liking.

There's a thread dedicated to the Closed Loop bikes

Well there's that, but I'm sure we ALL know the effects of the brownian motion coupling and its isomolecular cohesiveness as it pertains to said subsystems.

Just check your horizontal cylinder header for sensor plug.  If you have one it's a closed loop ECU, if not open loop.  Call Motowheels and they'll be able to help you with your order.  [thumbsup]

Oh and yeah, check your flux capacitor.  Since you have a S2R it'll be a wet flux capacitor [laugh]

the spark arrester and Termi's are what's on....no cow utter.  Is this what you mean?  I don't see an O2 sensor.....wait, let me go check (just love an excuse to look at my toys).

sensor plug would be on the top behind the oil cooler right?  if so, I have one.  CRAP  [bang]
