with armor it is gear. if you ride, you get to wear gear. otherwise poser.

I walk around in my riding jacket. Got a problem with it? I've walked to work in it (in the rain). It was perfect. Stayed warm and dry. I've walked around the mall in it. I've worn it on liberty when raining and I didn't bring a jacket for the underway. I really like it. It's really comfortable, has lots of pockets, keeps me warm and dry. Why wouldn't I? I even ordered the matching pants and suspenders.

You got a problem with it?

i saw a guy wear a vanson on the train today with full armor. He had his inner shirt collar popped, smelled like he bath in cologne, had sunglasses and gel'd hair and walked like he had to spread his legs to keep his pants up.

That jacket on aerostitch looks like a regular jacket though. Its not like someone riding the train with a 1 piece suit.

See, in that situation, what else would he wear? He was rocking the official douchebag uniform w/smellivision. At least he's cool with his level of douchebaggery that you don't even have to guess if he is, or is not a total loser. Maybe he has to keep the armor in the jacket for when someone even more douchy wants to kick his ass.

This is when everyone needs to keep a point & shoot camera handy. Or at least keep that camera phone armed and ready. I'm alway on mullet patrol, waiting for the perfect specimen. Got a lady with a SWEET rocker mullet the other day. She even had the highly faded, almost white denim jacket with jeans on. It was amazing. But if she had a vanson with armor...priceless.

Just kidding with all of this, of course. But not about the mullet patrol. It's a hobby of mine. Sorry if I am offending anyone.

I was walking around downtown SF today with mine on (also hauling around the helmet & boots ).

Anyway, someone was not watching carefully where they were walking, and carelessly brushed by me.
I then heard a loud "Ow" and turned around...he was obviously quite startled by running into my armor.

I'm not sure if Grant Imahara from Mythbusters rides, but he seems fond of Vanson gear.  I'm guessing he doesn't ride though.
