This is a great size comparion. The two C-130's waiting to take off are dwarfed by the shuttle/747.

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Thanks!

There were hundreds of people there, but they had to shoot through the fence. I arrived 5 hours early and had the perfect spot. It also helped that I could stand on the roof of my F250  ;D

A lot of pros were pretty pissed that I had the good spot, and there was a little smack talk going on behind my back (why does he need a D300, ect..)  I loved every minute of it  ;D ;D

Those are really nice shots.  Would loved to have seen it in person.

(I love the "why do you need that" accusations, that's a funny one though!)

Do these photos remind anyone else of those biology class filmstrips (anyone REMEMBER film strips?) about insects?

The shuttle + SCA combo did  a flyover JSC yesterday too  [thumbsup]  it was ridiculously awesome and they flew WAAAAY low, did two loops around the campus, and headed off.  SOOO COOL!  Me and all the rest of the NASA geeks were lined up all around the NASA campus looking and waiting

and these pics taken by a friend of mine as I forgot to bring my camera that day, note that he was just taking these pics off a normal point and shoot handheld  ;D

it's really nice to see people still amazed and excited by stuff like this, makes me proud to be in the industry!
