Great time indeed  [thumbsup] ;D [beer] [drink]

Bryant, thanks for arranging and thanks to Donald for having us over.  [clap]

Man, this was a cool set up. I'm still not sure which was more fun--the card game or cell-phone ping-pong...

...OK, so it was riding McKraut's bike.  ;D [moto]

i would totally like to see this on some kind of monthly basis...

that said... watch out for mckinney ave....  i was pulled over on my way home earlier (i was about 2 mins away from my apt...) i was pretty much read the riot act...sitting on the curb etc.  i had to go through the whole deal (i was very upfront with both officers....i don't think either of them was over 21 yrs. old, though).  after about 45 mins and no less than three different sobriety tests, i was released back into the wild to make my [safe] way back to my apartment.   i had to walk different straight lines, read neon signs across the street, and jump on one foot (my bad one, incidentally....i never like running on it, not that that matters), to prove that i wasn't "drunk"......

all that though, and i'm pretty sure my use of the word "hooah" saved me.  the younger guy of the pair (the more "gung-ho") was also more receptive to my use of military terms...and towards the end of everything asked me what branch i was in....to which I said Army...and I think that clenched it.  But I can't help but wonder if I would be sitting in lockup right now if I didn't have the proper use of "hooah" down....  scary shit.  Just a useful note to people to stay away from McKinney Ave. on weekends, I guess.  I can only figure I was just pulled over for being "loud".....  I wasn't being stupid/fast.  (am I ever??)

:o :o :o

Glad you made it home safe [thumbsup]

same here...just a gentle reminder for all of us to be safe and smart out there.  really, i was probably asking for some kind of harassment (why does that not sound right?) just given the street, my bike, and what time it was.  so, next time around it's probably better to not pick the "scenic" route home.  i just wanted to see how uptown's doing....  pretty busy, it turns out.  /shrug

thanks again for everybody that turned out last night; it was a good time, despite getting absolutely spanked by scott.  mr. "how do we play this game again"???  riiiiiight.

dude, seriously, last night was my 1st time to play Hold 'Em. If I hadn't watched that little video, I would not have even known how to play...
Just a series of lucky hands, that's all. It would have been equal fun if I had been the 1st one out [thumbsup]

;D  Great time last night - I am actually sore from playing so much pong - that last hour of sober up pong was probably the culprit & being eliminated so early from poker!  :-\  Has anyone heard rom Miss M ?  I was concerned about her getting home!  ???

Rich - glad we played that last hour of pong & your coolness prevailed with the Leos - you did not seem overly toasted when you left - those Arrows definitely point at you when you are riding - I like my <90 db pipe because I am here & gone before anyone [leo] even notices & no ear plugs which give me one more sense to use riding.  You can't have been drunk because you pulled over - in essence no mirrors to see the lights, earplugs & Arrows covering a siren, you must have used some paranormal powers - spahgetti monster sense ? - to know they wanted you !  [laugh]

Guess I need cots for the studio - because we are definitely doing this again !!

Thanks George for the Taboo I smoked !  Thanks Dan for the Rocky I will enjoy later !  Thanks Will & Scott for spanking me at ping pong !  Thanks Miss M for spanking me with the pong paddle - I was a bad boy ! Thanks Tommy for enduring a night of Zepplin & giving Scott SOME competition !  Thanks Rich for being so entertaining & taking pix ! Most of all thanks to Bryant for your support of LLS with such a fun and awesome evening ( and for leaving a lot of beer ).

I really find this fun (poker), healthy ( bicycle riding ) approach to supporting charity very inspirational!  You are awesome and exemplary friends that I am proud to know !  [beer]

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

Man, sorry to hear about the hassle...

All that sobriety testing was really a waste of time, IMO. I mean they could have called any one of us, and we would have definitely vouched for the cat-like reflexes and amazing hand-eye coordination you displayed playing ping-pong.   ;D

Damn, Rich!  I'm glad to hear that you didn't spend the evening in the drunk tank

I really want to thank all of you guys for coming out and having a great time playing cards and helping me with my fund raising!

Donald, what can I say... your place is a great place to have card games.  Thanks a ton for letting us raid the studio for a few hours.

Scott, your new name is the "Hustler"
