Which is why I just load the proper map.......

I hope it works.  Keep us updated.

My PC was boxed for a 999, the connectors to the injectors were wrong, cut and spliced, fired up first time, no TPS issues.

you are saying that your S2R is running good with a 999 PC?!

Capo

My S4R the shop that fitted it is one of the top Ducati race shops in the UK, they just re-programmed it. They have the ways and means.

in reality, you just spliced wires for your bike and loaded the correct map, which is basically what im doing, minus the splicing wire parts cause i have the right connectors already.

Just goes to show, the PCIII unit is the same for all bikes, just different connectors.

Exactly, however I no longer have it fitted, went bad over a winter layup, removed it and running on the DP ECU, noticed no difference.
But Nemesis is coming soon.

How did the PCIII go bad over the winter?

Don't know, would not start when I got the bike out. Had a track day booked for the following day, process of elimination pointed to the PC, though it would 'self check' during power up and respond to throttle input but there was no output to the injectors.

maybe it lost its map? did you try reloading the map onto it? or pluging it into the computer?

Mine just shipped out today, chances are,ill get the PCIII before i get my bike back even though the bike got the head start a month ago.

If it lost it's map, the bike should run as if nothing is there. The map would just zero out and not add or subtract any fuel...

I know this is an older thread, but i thought I'd add... I had the very similar situation happen back in 2003 on an R6, when PCIII's were first coming on line.  after pulling the R6 out of winter garage status the bike did start, but the engine would cut out suddenly on the highway at around 5000 rpms. this happened several times, very dangerous, and almost caused serious accidents on all occasions.  scared the sh*t out of me.  took out the power commander, and everything was fine back to normal.  those incidents caused me to never trust a power commander for street use ever again.  I don't think dynojet ever recommended for street use anyway, but nonetheless...
