I will check them out also.  I would like to get a new helmet soon.  The Rossi hit in the second wreck but it didn't bust like the Arai so I figured it was okay. Maybe not so after reading some of these things.  I have had a Suomy, Arai, and AGV.  The Arai was the most comfortable and certainly did a wonderful job when i went down.  I wouldn't buy used unless I knew the person and had some history on the helmet. I will certainly be shopping for the best deal though, and I don't blame anyone for doing that!  I do know that if you go down your gear is the most important thing!  Unfortunately, even the most minor trauma to the head has the potential to cause significant problems.

If you find Arai comfortable, try Scorpion.  Also, you can try sending helmet to manufacturer's helmet inspection service.  When mine scraped the ground during one of my offs, I had it sent to Arai and they sent it back with a formal letter indicating damage was cosmetic and helmet was safe as of the date of inspection. I still wear it most of the time though I have its twin as a backup (new year's day sale at Cycle Gear was too tempting).

can you do that?  :o

If it is your own, it should be ok right?  Just might take a while to roll it up perfectly to fit back in the package.   [thumbsup]

[Disclaimer: don't do what I just said.  That's just not cool]   [laugh]
