That wonderful bean, that makes it possible to face another morning.

Have a favorite blend? A favorite machine? one of those who steps up to the counter at Starbucks every morning? Tell us all about it.

I think we had a thread on this before. (?) I'm a big fan of bold coffee, Sumatra ground fresh in a French press.

I think the fresher the roast, and the fresher the grind, the better the coffee.

I ended up with a Saeco Vienna last year, and it made a real difference in the quality of even cheap coffee. Once I found a local roaster, the fresh roasting made a big difference as well.

Fresh roast makes a big difference, but some roasters are clueless.

$35 per pound, ouch!

A student was bringing me Blue Mountain from Jamaica.  Shame is I don't really like it.  kopfjäger, if I still had some I would send it to you.

Folgers via an old Mr. Coffee. [thumbsup] Never set foot in a Starbucks and have never eaten at a McDonalds and I'm doing just fine, thanks. KISS. ;D
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

I have flying honey badgers and I'm not afraid to use them!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

The blue mountain is $20 a pound here, but I've found other stuff that is half that and 95% as good.

What I need now is a new machine and an actual grinder.  I'm tempted to get a keurig though....

I've been hearing Blue Mountain coffee ads on the radio lately. Never heard of them before but I am hearing a lot of their ads every day.

Where are you?!!!

Around here it is about TWICE that!

Also good, Guatemalan SHB and Kenya AA

Still want to try Kopi Luwak
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.
