Thought I'd share this with all you expectant and/or new fathers out there. It's a list of encouraging & empowering statements we received at class on Sunday.

Please take a minute to read through them. Would you actually say these things to your wife during labor?

The Mrs. has already informed me that if I tell her to "keep on keeping on" when she is in the stirrups, she will punch me in the balls.

Those quotes all look like they belong on posters in a high school locker room. I can't imagine myself saying "let me take some of the pain away".... that's god awful raunchy

I just said what everyone else was saying in the room. Told her she was doing a good job and that we could see the head and oh look! He has hair.

The truth is, everything that they told us in those classes went out the window as soon as we were in the heat of the moment. It's good to be prepared but those quotes are not suitable for a serious moment IMH

Our friends and coworkers gave us a baby shower tonight. Wow..we're very lucky to have such great friends who happen to be extremely generous people! Nearly 40 people came. I can't even remember all the gifts we received?!? It's going to be a fun day tomorrow going through everything!

You'll never believe all the different size and shapes of batteries you will need for all the things that wizz, whirl, play music, and light up. I was astonished

It's fun putting everything together though

This reminds me.... the night I was in labor (and had just started to push) there was hockey on. Minnesotamonster and the L&D nurse were watching the game between contractions, and my doctor kept poking her head in to check the score.
