If you have the Arrow exhaust and have been wondering if you can move it up, well here is your answer. Yes, you can! [clap] Thank God!

Go to my Flickr page and you can see a before and after. It's the Full Arrow exhaust for an S4RS. All I did was cut the stock bracket and drill a hole lower. Then, I drilled a hole higher on the Bike stock/ black bracket. I would say it is about 3in. higher. You can go 4in. but you lose the function of your seat key.

......... I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks. Years later, a doctor will tell me that I have an I.Q. of 48 and I am what some people call mentally retarded.

Are you just pushing the whole system upward?  Is there that much flex in the header/midpipe?

I've wanted to do this with my Termis, but I believe that I'll have to lengthen the S-pipes.

Yes, there is quite a bit of flex. The flex is the piping right under the bike where the rearsets are. And yes, all I did was move the whole system up.

Much better.  Much much better
-Throttle's on the right, so are the brakes.  Good luck.

I'm def partial to the way the Arrows look but that looks f-n amazing dude....wow...the color combo w/your bike looks insane.  I don't think we should ride together cause if I see them in person I'll want to buy a set.

Can you still use stock rear passenger pegs?  Can you take some more photos of where you drilled the brackets or exactly how much you cut off the bracket and where you drilled the new holes...Both of them?  Sweet mod.....I always wondered if this could be done and you just answered my question.  Good job [thumbsup]

Ok, I just went and looked at my bike and the collecter underneath the bike is about a half inch from touching the motor case.  You said the pipes flex.  Are any of your pipes hitting the bottom of your motor at all?  I dont see much room underneath my bike.

Thanks,

Lou

Holy crap, that's astounding!  My system has about 1/2" of flex.   :-\

1/2" flex at the crossover could be considerably more at the tips of the cans...

Yea, I'll take some closer pics. I should have taken pics while I was in the process, but I was to jazzed to see the end product. I was up in the air on putting any exhaust that would block the rear tire and when I got the Arrows in, they blocked to much. I coudn't really see how far they would go up until I cut the bracket. I must have cut it 3 times.

I'll take a closer pic of what I did. I also had to add a bolt in the stock hole so the Arrow bracket would not move closer to the rear tire. You'll see what I mean when I post the pics.

I'll also see if the rear pegs work with this..

The pipe under the bike does not move up. I would say the cans twist-up. You'll see.
