Why do roaches always die on their back?

That because the survivors flip them over to steal their sneakers and wallets.

Speaking as a long time lurker (& occasional poster) - I personally enjoy the US positngs.

As some have previously stated - I would love to do a US ride - I have the passion but not the time - between job & family, a 15 hr-600 mile ride takes a lot more "schedule manipulation" to finagle than a few hours on a shorter ride.

I don't care that the US PM each other & have some inside jokes - I am jealous that I can't spend more time in the pursuit of my passion for riding so I will live vicariously through them.

Keep up the posts.

Although I have never ridden with the US group, and my only contact with you guys has been over dogs and beers at Hiram’s I personally think that it would be a shame to loose your input here.

I can see from the previous years posts that you guys have organized into a group of guys who all share the passion we all feel for Ducati, and I think that getting people together, along with sharing stories, and routes, etc. is the main reason a board or forum like this exists in the first place. Your rides have always been posted as open to anyone who responds, and if for some reason people can’t join in, it’s in no way your groups fault. I applaud you GC for taking the time to do all the work you do to set up and run your rides. I personally know what a big undertaking, and responsibility is it to do group rides, and it’s nice to see someone giving of their own time and effort to get people together.

I really don’t object to the “inside” posts, although I would like to see more people posting, for whatever reasons here. Unfortunately we all have obligations and responsibilities that infringe on our riding time, and I would venture that its part of the reason we don’t all ride as much, and then consequently post up, as often as you guys do.

I personally would miss the insult posts, and the cool posts that chronicle your mega mile rides, and ones like the posts by you and the group about your road trip which was one of the more entertaining and fun posts put up here in quite a while. Stick around guys, who else can we envy on Monday mornings if you leave…

Folks always complain about the "sportbike position" - long low stretch to the bars, high pegs, etc... magazine testers included... while they may not be the most comfortable things to ride all day, it's really not that bad once you get used to it. I won't lie, my neck did bother me after one ride in particular but that ride went on and on (kinda like this reply) for 20 hours, yep, 20 hours. [bang]
Funny thing is, whenever I sit on a Monster now, I realize how truly comfortable they are - high bars, low pegs... plus you guys have those frame sliders that can double as highway pegs... bastids.
