Popeye the Sailor

Just get 4 of 'em and double the HP!

(I'd say no, btw)
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

If a manufacturer could get 25 hp out of a 'gizmo'...

wouldn't it be installed from the factory?

I just read the ad.

Someone correct me if im wrong. . .

Monsters do not have Intake air temp sensors, and also do not have MAF (mass air flow sensors) since they run a speed-density type fueling setup.

So what would it wire into?  The ad suggests simply by increasing fuel you get all this horsepower. . .

No mention of the need for more air.  You need that too.

At some point, cylinder pressure drops as you add all this fuel and power would drop as well.  Then after that you'd be washing the cylinder walls with fuel if you kept increasing it.

"Since the air/fuel ratio in injected up-to-date vehicles is regulated by the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) and most factory ECUs are set to maintain a 14.7:1 air/fuel ratio; this is known as a stoichiometric fuel mix, user is unable to trim manually or mechanically this ratio as by early models."

That's not true either.  Engines are set up a little more to the rich side than that.  14.7 is ideal, yes.  However, ideal does not = drivable (ridable)

This guy sells a lot of snake oil.

Maybe im in the wrong business ;D

I think they installed this product on the desmosedici so it must work.

I love how the seller personally attacks almost every negative or neutral commenter by calling them a liar.

I bought one for my '95 M900.  I had to uninstall it though because I could keep the front wheel on the ground.

So if I followed correctly.... you have used, or are currently using this or a similar version and it actually works to some degree?
Is there a real difference in performance or what? How noticeable is the increase?

Thanks!

Norm

I'm certainly not a FI guru, and I've been wrong before, but I don't see how that could provide anything but minor gains and maybe some throttle response.
For $40, buy one, if it does ANYTHING, it's worth it.

wasnt he the guy that started the thread about the one he purchased? Maybe it wasnt him, but someone DID buy one of these doohicks and slaped it onto the barametric sensor near the front gauge. He claimed to have a up in HP. I doubt it did, it may have just smoothen the bike out like the fatduc O2 thingy.

It makes sense what it does, but i still think putting a mod on the o2 is better than putting it at the air sensor because the o2 can still lean out the mixture due to the denser O2.
2006 Ducati S2R1100 Yea.... stunttin like my daddy CHROMED OUT 1100!!!!

I started the thread, but I have never used one.
Bazz20 I think said he has used one with some success.
His post wasn't worded so well, but I don't think he was
joking. I figure it is a scam, but their Ebay feedback is
fairly consistent.

Consistent ebay feedback does not mean the item works. It means they ship it to you in a timely manner.

My ebay feedback for cow pies is close to 99% positive  ;)

True to a point, but I know I do not leave feedback till I know
if whatever I bought works. That is just me.

"It works" is subjective... in this case. You may want your $40 to be well spent. This thing probably does work, but id bet, (and im sure mnay others would to) that you wont get 25hp bump. Hell i bet it woudnt even do a double digit bump.
