Been 10 years since I won a chem prize at university and it still stays with me.

1 mole is defined as the number of atoms in 12 grams of carbon-12. It used to be defined off hydrogen but is now done off carbon-12. This gives Avogadro's number, or 6.0221415×10²³

So, yeah, about this whole DMG saga - seems a bit crap from this side of the world .
