so... i had my first riding acco (on a public road).
basically parramatta rd, busy arvo and car pulled into my lane.  ;D
short braking distance and a slimy surface (those who know the croydon section of parra rd know what i mean) made for avoiding the back of a car (which for some reason came to a complete stop in my lane??), ended in dropping the bike and rolling out type stack. Unfortunately also equaled a broken shoulder blade and  bruised ego.  [thumbsup]
no one to blame but myself, no other cars hit or made contact with. just not good enough in a tough situation. bike rides, minor damage and ill be back in 8 to 10 weeks.
sucks having to do everything with my left hand and the pain....  ;D ;D

just thought id share and ask others to take care & wear your gear.

Not good to hear Chris.
Hope you heal quickly, I do not like those kind of conditions when riding or driving for that matter.
Why is it though that people just don't look what is going on outside there bubble.
I have waived my hands at a few cagers lately talking or texting.

Exactly ... the incompetence of others does not lessen your own level of competence.

Heal fast and heal well mate ... and don't let the bastards get you down (or enjoy the drugs).

But to look on the bright side peoples ... 'the cursed one' (she of the serial killer reputation) will be back home soon so we should all be safe now.

Heather it is good to have someone else to blame when things seem stacked against you/us ... I am sure you will take this in the manner it was intended :-*

Permission to Swear Chris?
Hope the injuries heal quick.

I must say two this week really hurts the confidence in Sydney Traffic. Getting bad butterflies just thinking about it.

geez Chris, glad to hear you're relatively OK. Scary shit going down on Parra Rd.

Heal well fella, and let us know if you need anything

Owww.  That's awful.  I broke my shoulder last year playing footy, and it took ages to heal up properly.  Take it really easy, rest up and get better.

speedy recovery, mate

I did a similar thing years ago. Lady that pulled out in front got charged because an off duty cop following saw it,
even tho there was no contact with her car.

Sorry to hear this Chris.  Hope you heal quickly and enjoy the drugs.

As for the rest of you - Please park your bikes in the shed and do not under any circumstances ride until after Monday (that's when I'm leaving.)  [cheeky]

Monstro did come to my defence though and pointed out that he and a few others have ridden plenty with me lots and not come to grief - so maybe it's not me.  ???

I've just realised it was full moon round this time too. Maybe that's more to blame than me.  [roll]
