Well...... My fiancé is 19 weeks pregnant now. This will be our first. It's exciting and terrifying at the same time. Every day is something new. She is growing, farting, eating, and more emotional than ever.... Ita hard sitting there watching her enjoy ritz crackers, sharp cheese, carrots, and chocolate ice cream al mixed together and I CAN'T say a word about it.

Perhaps some of the other guys on here have some good advice or a funny story to tell. I know that it's been a long strange trip thus far and can't wait for what is to come. Here is my story of the week.

We went to look at an apartment the other day. The owner couldn't make it but he left the door open for us to check it out. Amidst all the looking around she decides she has to drop a HUGE dooky. Luckily there was toilet paper and a plunger because she commenced to clog the toilet. All the while I'm standing out there listening to her laugh and cry all at the same time. There was no fan. It was brutal. We bailed just in the nick of time as another couple was showing up to check it out. I don't think I'll ever forget that.

Anybody else have any funny stories or good advice?

May God have mercy on your soul. [laugh] Luckily for me there are state laws in place forbiding me from ever re-producing and God has shut that down possibilty with a major brain tumor just to make sure. [cheeky] One of me in Texas is all that this state can handle! ;D Good luck... and congrats. I guess... [thumbsup]
I plan to list the Federal Gov't. as a dependent on my next 1040 tax filing!

The fact that flame throwers exist is proof that someone somewhere said "I'd sure like to set those people over there on fire but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."

CONFIDENCE: the feeling you have right before you understand the situation.

Our first is due in a bit over a month. My wife has been amazing. Finishing off an honours degree, graduation day on the same day as she's due. She's had no mood swings or weird cravings, just getting a bit bigger  ;)

Congrats. Next month you should find out the sex at the anatomy scan. It's fun with my 20 month, trying to get him (forcing) to ride a trike, even though he's still way too young.

Just joking.

I'm excited to find out. It was really cool hearing the heartbeat at the 13 weeks. I'm REALLY hoping it's a boy. Otherwise I'm gonna' have to plan on another....

Congrats. You are a lucky man! It's so weird watching them get bigger isn't it? Hard to believe there is a future Ducati rider in there...

Thanks everyone!

Yeah, being a dad is great...until they grow up asking about your Ducati in the garage everyday, learning to ride a bike without training wheels while making motorcycle sounds, watching MotoGP with you...then one day he looks at you and says, "Dad, look at me!  I am like Rossi on his M1!"

What could possibly more enjoyable than that?

I'm counting down. 7 days until I find out boy or girl!

Congrats to the expectant father , I became father to a boy in the summer and although it was a bit dicey at first, now it's just awesome, I watched MotoGP and F1 with him already.

A Jewish friend of my parents once commented that in her religion a fetus isn't considered fully human until it's graduated from law or medical school. As the parent of a 15 year-old, I now understand her point. Being a father is great. Most of the time. The rest of the time, just remind yourself that it's actually illegal to strangle them and that almost nobody acts like that in their 30's. Once you get past the sleep deprivation, the first few years are pretty good. Grade school is awesome. You can survive middle school and high school. After that, my parents assure me, it's back to awesome.
