Apparently some virus got in my computer and ate my sh*t.   [bang]

Good thing Norton was there..for an $80 fee..since nothing else could help alleviate this problem.  This is all a BS scam!  >:(

My desktop is now blank except for the garbage and the newly downloaded Norton icon.   [roll]

Anyway, I now click on my Microsoft logo in the bottom left corner to look at all programs, including, my Itunes.

SOB says it's empty!! !!  !!  !! !!  WTF?!

But you can still get to the DMF, so it can't really be ALL that bad.

Is this because mac's are filled with magical elves that fend of big bad computer viruses?

Whatever it is. It works like hell. My Macbook is 5 years old and no problems whatsoever. Never a virus. Never a complaint.  ;D

irrelevance (numbers, cost/benefit, etc..) keeps macs more or less safe from the big bad internet, but that's likely to change as they increase in use. i have never had a virus, etc... on my 2006 windows laptop either. part of that is using the right preventative software......but more of it is being smart about where i go and what i do on the net.

A virus warning written by an anti-virus company? Oh no!  I should buy their software so it doesn't affect my Mac!
