The new Galaxy S is supposed to be a hell of a machine.

This.

I've had an HTC EVO Design for a few months and love it.....

Love my Galaxy Nexus! Open and untainted by bs manufacturer skins.

The nexus doesn't need rooting?   Does it matter on provider?

Love the DROID so far..   all the pics ya see on here are from it.. vids too....    about 99% of online stuff is done through it..

I have an HTC evo 4g.  It does a lot of stuff but man does it go through batteries!  I have 4 extras that I swap out throughout the day.

My last phone was a Samsung Instinct.  It was the most intuitive phone Ive ever used.  How do you like the Galaxy Nexus?  How easy is it to change out the battery?

It doesn't need to be rooted to get good performance like some Androids form VZW that perform poorly with all the bloatware.  I have rooted mine, running AOKP ROM.  If you are into hacking your device the Nexus is probably still the way to go, unlockable bootloader, much easier than hacking Motorolas since you can actually replace recovery with CWM instead of bootstrap.

The Bionic is pretty decent, I had one but gave it to my gf and took her upgrade to get the Nexus, nothing about the Bionic specifically, just that there isn't nearly the developer support for it as there is for the GNex.

I went to the T Mobile store yesterday and got 2 My Touch 4 G slides. They were having a weekend special, paid $100 each and now I have to mail in the $100 rebate forms. So, new 20 month contract, 2 free phones, unlimited talk, text, 2 gig of surfing a month. Good thing it came in 2 colors. I even got a credit for 2 free ring tones! When someone calls it is now set to Dick Dale's Misirlou. When L calls Brown Eyed Girl plays!

I have the Gnex and it is one helluva phone.

I have the RAZR Max's and love it. I came from the original DROID. The battery life is really good. If you forget to charge it one day you'll be fine. I also use it a lot for internet about 12 gigs a month, so my battery lasts for a full day or so.

i hae teh razar maxx and its  really durable (even in my hands) its really slim and lightweight. No complaints at all. very intuitive.

I have the standard iPhone 4 and am debating the same thing.  I really like the music option w/ the iPhone and not having to carry a phone and ipod but seems like for everything other then music the droids are much better.  I have heard the next Gen iPhone will have a larger view screen which would be nice.

?? My droid plays music just fine. There are even several "after market" players that function very similar to itunes. And I don't have to use iTunes. Haven't carried an iPod or MP3 player in ages.

Any chance those players can pull songs off my itunes playlist?
