Any chance those players can pull songs off my itunes playlist?

Apple will not allow anyone to develop a player for their proprietary format for the Droid platform.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

so I'd have to redo the playlist for a non apple player and w/ 8k-10k songs I am thinking that will be a PITA

that's how they GETCHA!

i had an ipod for a while until I realized that.  i tossed it and never looked back.  a portable music player should not lock down your music so you can't jump platforms.

it's sort of like buying a CD player that converts your CDs so they don't work on any other brand of CD player...

Most of my music is off of CD's and not bought off itunes but to reload them all would be a pregnant dog and a lot of the music is off of CDs I borrowed from the library or friends.  Guess I'm stuck LOL
Still might go to droid and just carry a phone and ipod

doesn't double twist do this for android?  I've talked to people who say it copies Itunes songs and playlists and you sync it up on the computer.

That would be brilliant.

I'm probably going to pick up the Galaxy Note for my next one, as I feel bigger IS better  [laugh]

But, I've put hands on a Galaxy s3....it's amazing. Trust me. Probably over powered for a phone, truthfully.

also, the HTC one is probably close to equal ground for the s3, but the phone has to be disassembled for a new battery to be put in. Galaxy s3 has a battery door.

the S III has a quad core CPU (!!!!!)

we have a Galaxy Tab and it's wonderful even with Android 2.3.  I have a G2X and like it (LG made) but next phone will be a Samsung Galaxy

if you have the files, it should be a simple import of the files to get them into a library. specific playlists are a different problem and there are probably some google-able solutions.

according to this review (http://hothardware.com/Reviews/Samsung-Galaxy-S-III-Review/) the us-version will be dual-core and the quad won't be available here.

....unless i read that wrong.

I can't say that the model I had my hands on is the US spec version (as it was brought in from Europe), but it had quad core.

Hopefully they won't dumb it down for us 'mericans....though it wouldn't be the first time  :-\

jailbreak it!

I'll second that opinion. I've been using jailbroken iphones without issue for several years now. long live Cydia!
