There are no morals in broadcasting. They should have looked at the ratings impact and just fined him. Or even better, I would have taken one of Clarkson's paychecks and given it to the producer that he punched.

Had they not removed him from the show it could have constituted a hostile work environment and they would be subject to legal action. They did the right thing by firing him. Ratings or not, don't treat people like shit.

Now, I like the show, I like Clarkson on the show, but I would not have put up with his shit on set.

Everyone is quick to run to the lawyers nowadays. That's just how people are. Like I said, had it been me, I wouldn't have put up with his shit in the first place. But these are different times now.

Honestly, I'm sure his firing will make the Amazon show more interesting. The government run show was probably quite a bit tamer than the trio would have liked...
