My ex is about to have a third tranny put into her '13 Focus. It's a POS CVT.

The reason we have our Durango now (besides the size upgrade) is because of the (un)reliability issues with the Chrysler CVT in her '13 Jeep Patriot.

That thing didn't really do anything well. It was a gas hog. It got worse mileage than the bigger Durango we have now. The Patriot had the 2.4 I4, the Durango a 3.6 V6.

I have no issues with tranny since it's a manual  ;D

She's never driven a manual transmission.

Weird.

We had a '07 Compass with the same engine and trans (4WD) and had no issues with the powertrain. The stepkid has it now and hasn't had anything go haywire there either. Of course, since he's had it the AC compressor grenaded, the sway bar bushings had to be replaced, and one window stopped working....

Ours got 25-26 MPG on the road too.

First time for everything!! My wife had to learn how to drive a stick shift in Chile with a diesel car. Compared to that, the technology has made it a lot easier. Hill assist and shift indicators help a lot, not to mention that it's more difficult to stall. If it wasn't for the resale value, I would only drive manuals.

She had an 07 Patriot before this and loved it. Gave it to her friend when she went overseas and wanted a new one when she came back. POS

Ha ha, funny you should bring this up since I picked it up last Monday.

Eldest daughter bought my Nissan Juke (fun little AWD turbo) from me and I had to replace it.

I knew this was coming and had been thinking about a WRX STI or the new Focus RS. But last year we moved to the Pinelands, now everything is flat and straight and sandy.

So I ordered this a few months ago and had it built to spec. Loving it:

I traded my 2002 Dakota for a 2011 Ram 2500 Quad cab this summer, so I'm good for a bit.  However, I'd happily trade for a diesel version of it anytime.

I got this earlier this year. Its been doing great in the snow. I think its going to last a while, but if I got somthing else I would probably get one with a Diesel.

Been kind of interested in this though for the fuel economy.

Got this little ripper a few years back!

Got this one brand new 6 months ago. She's a beauty.

Very, very happy with both.

I switched two rear wheel drive petrol/LPG fueled inline 6 cylinders for two FWD turbo 4 cylinder diesels!

Quite a paradigm shift needed but so glad I did!

Mondeo gets 6.2 liters per 100 km (46 MPG) fully loaded on the highway, the Sorento gets round 7.5 (37 MPG).

No.  But just out of interest....  why do you ask?

FYI, I also will not get it registered in Namibia, Botswana, PNG nor Malaysia.  Argentina neither.
