Another thing is weight minimums:  My 05 S2R (400 lbs) with me on it (200lbs) doing 70mph passing a truck on the I-5 gets shaky as it is.  How much weight do we really want to take off of these cycles?

Lack of weight does not cause shakiness.

My bike is not more unstable with my girlfriend riding it (she's half my weight).

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

I think for the GP bike it makes a lot of sense as for the Monster, well it's a different look for sure. Much cleaner than the trellis. It still looks like a Monster to me and IMO looks way better than the new 695, which I can't stand. I've tried to like it, but it's just not working for me. Now the Hypermotard, that's a sexy new bike! I also like the 1098, it's the first Ducati sport bike I've ever liked.

I am keeping my 06 S2R 800 for sure since it's rapidly becoming a rare breed.
