Question:
Love it or hate it?
Option 1: Looks great!
Option 2: I liked the old one.
Option 3: Vintage was cooler
Just looking at www.Ducati.com -- top left corner. New corporate logo? Triangle plastic badge looking thing with a swoosh through it.
What do you think?
Not a huge fan of it.
I will go out on a limb here and say that 75% or more will say they don't like it because it's different. [roll]
I like it. Simple, elegant, to the point. Would look good as a key chain.
I agree with ya superjohn. People (myself included) are gonna pregnant dog when something changes (see 696) and THAT is never going to change. That being said, I don't think I care for the new logo. I never liked the triangular(ish) Ducati Corse badges in the first place, but I guess I'll have to get used to it ;D

Liberace gay! (http://oregonmag.com/Liberace.jpg)
The vintage stuff is cool for sure, but they're changing the bikes and the engines and such so why go backwards?!? (except for the sport-classics)
But, why change it? I like the old one (the one we based the DMF logo off of). This looks like they spent too much $$$ on it.
I immediately saw a guitar pic!! with the ducati name.. how cool... if they make them I'll use them. LOL
This will work great as part of my Ducati man, superhero, Halloween custome. I can have a cape and a shield. [laugh]
It certainly doesn't offend me......

If you are going to change your logo, change the font used also. Don't just take the old DUCATI and drop it on a shoe logo background.
After the 696 / street fighter / logo changes, maybe they should change the company name or base country next? Is everything for sale?

I guess I'll get used to it.
It looks too 'soft' for the company it represent though.

thats the "dynamic D," and for me has been the recognizable symbol for the best looking bikes on the planet since i could say the world motorcycle... (im not that old...)
i don't like change, but at least they didnt jump TOO far. its a soft slow change, and i think its a step toward something even further away down the road. something REAL different. they're easing us into it.
looks pretty amateur in my opinion though... definiately spent alot on a little. kinda like us on the bikes!

The old logo was cast into some engine parts, wonder if they will do the same with this.
While the old logo was recogisable to those 'in the know', to the man on the street it meant nothing.

Worst logo update since the United States Cycling Federation (http://orrvillecycling.com/images/uscfvert.gif).
Not understanding why they went to the time and expense of changing a perfectly good company logo.
Whatever.
Hey it`s done live with it ;D
Pretty much, logo and tank script changed with new ownership. Cagiva had elephants and their own script, etc.
i don't care for it...
imo, the once strong brand is now combined with other icons and shapes, which just makes it less recognizable.

If Ducati didn't change their logo every 5-10 years, we wouldn't have anything to buy that was retro.
It is ok. I think they are trying to combine the Ducati Corse logo with an "open roads" look.
