I need to pick up my reading pace(I'm rereading all the books and I'm 1/5th through SoS). I having a hard time distinguishing stuff that happens in the book from TV stuff. Soo long for the who done it of killing the king. Pretty much smacked you in the face with the plot points.

It was slightly different in the books, but they pretty much got the jest of it. Now what's happening in the north is diverging a lot from the books. I think they figured that they had to stretch the material a bit. GRRM takes 4eva to write his books. He's published 5 out of 7 books, but the series has been averaging a book a season. That changed this year, since a lot of this season is actually the end of the 3rd book.

Yea the ending of last episode wife told me is not I the books. It's an interesting add on though. . I figured they were recruiting the babies instead of eating them..

The show producers know the end game of the books so maybe us book snobs will be reading about it once GRRM gets back to writing.

I hate GRRM for keeping me and the rest of the books' fans waiting for him to get his huge ass in front of a computer writing the remaining 2 books.

I have a feeling he won't be able to tie everything together in 2 books. He is going to pull another FoC/DwD and have to split the last book into two.

That was been the rumor for a while. The last 2 books should have been 1 and a half, but he decided to split them by geography. In any case, it takes him forever to complete each book and the series will surpass the timelines. Most likely the writers will need to fill in the time gaps.

Boo... only thing in the episode that was correct, according to book, was viper guy dieing. But the dude was f'n fast and had a short sword on him. I'm guessing he should have been able to stab the mountain before getting his head popped...
