OK guys, just let me know when you get 'em so that I can calculate time ...

I'm tucking in early ... need to travel about 360kms away from the city to visit a possible customer to set up a diesel lab, I'll use 2 tanks of fuel to make the trip on Gina ... on the highway she's doing 72kms/gl or 44mpg ...

Not a very productive morning.  

I've been emptying the coffee machine at this here Ford dealership all morning.  My new Peugeot engined turbo-diesel Belgian Ford fainted in a blaze of warning lamps  [laugh].

We're still (3 hours in) attempting the diagnosis  [coffee].

fuel pump?
shitty fuel seems to be killing a fair share of the current crop of high pressure fuel pumps in diesels

The Salt Mine Kommandant is exploding with fury at my downtime.....  I'm guessing that if it goes on much longer a "loan" car will appear  [coffee].

but if it is fuel pump related and their pumps grenade like the 1% of VW TDIs, the entire fuel system is replaced.
On the VWs that has been around 9k

normally 60k a year on my commuter plus we've been using mine more on the weekends to keep the miles off her car so it's worth more when she gets her new one in July
